"Thinking of a memory of a place, person, dream, picture or a long gone, much loved house, we experience an absence or loss and invent and conjure ways to depict what we remember. A memory condenses and reduces to a completeness, being neither purely objective or subjective. It is original to the artist...consider the practice of memory in relation to drawing, as well as exploring how we perceive colours directly from observation and how we ‘feel’ colours..."
