"Printmaking is a fluid and versatile way of transforming the way you draw. In this course, you will be guided through various printmaking techniques that you can do at home without a press or complicated equipment. During the 5 weeks you will be guided on how to transform sketchbook drawings in order to create linocut prints; first with one colour, followed by the reduction method and then a 3 colour multi-block print. You will also be shown how to make both drawn and painterly marks through mono-printing. You will learn how to create drawn lines, reduction prints, painterly monotypes and multi-layered images with chine-colle (collage). By the end of the course, you will have created a series of prints that could potentially inspire a whole new body of work. This course is suitable for both complete beginners and those with previous printmaking experience. You will be given instructions on materials to buy before the course begins..."
