David Bomberg - an introduction | Ben Uri Museum
Description from Ben Uri Gallery and Museum:
In this video Sarah MacDougall and Rachel Dickson, curators at the Ben Uri Museum and Gallery, introduce artist David Bomberg and his works within the Ben Uri Collection.
ABOUT DAVID BOMBERG
David Bomberg (1890 – 1957) was a British artist born in Birmingham. Bomberg studied at the Slade School and became one of the Whitechapel Boys, a group of Anglo-Jewish writers and artists of the early 20th century. Bomberg is widely agreed as one of the most significant artists of the 20th century, and perhaps best known for his influence on the fledgling European avant-garde movements, such as Cubism, Futurism and Vorticism.
