Welcome to American Viscountess!
I'm Julie Montagu, an American from a small town outside Chicago who married into the British aristocracy. My husband Luke is heir to the Earl of Sandwich and we live at Mapperton House in the stunning West Dorset countryside.
Please join me for a glorious day out as I meet other friends and owners of castles, manor houses and stately homes, and discover how they have adapted to the 21st century. I'll be learning about the history of these places, how they are lived in as comfortable family homes as well as exploring their breath-taking gardens and estates. But I'm also keen to roll up my sleeves and help out with a few jobs along the way!
